About David Merkin

David was born and raised in Rockville, MD and is a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School, University of Maryland in College Park, and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is married to his terrific wife Lisa and has two wonderful daughters. He has primarily been in private practice as a Lawyer in the Rockville area until March, 2018, when he left to join the Maryland State Government and became an Assistant Attorney General representing the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. David also is a member of the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of Montgomery County. In his spare time, David loves to spend time with his family and partake in his many hobbies. He is a long distance bicyclist who trips has biked between DC and Pittsburgh on 8 occasions. He also plays golf and tennis. He volunteers his time and officiates many swim meets across the DC metro area as well as nationally and sits on the Officials Committee of PVS Swimming. He is a big DC sports homer and loves his Caps, Nats, Skins and Terps. In addition, he loves to cook and enjoys a wide variety of cuisine. David has really enjoyed being a part of Amity and has met many great people in this organization.

Here is our Amity 2024 schedule – remember with your yearly dues, the club subsidizes each event so that we can offer top notch food, drinks, golf, engaging speakers and other fun entertainment at a reasonable cost to members.

Additionally, Couples Club events will be planned in 2024, as well as additional social and philanthropic events.

Please note that all dinner events start at 6:30 pm and golf dinner events at 11:30 am and golf morning events at 9:00 am, unless you are otherwise notified.
